Solar dock power, answered.

Do I need to run shore power to my dock?

No. The system runs entirely on a solar panel and battery at the dock, so you skip the trenching, conduit, and expensive electrical runs it takes to get shore power to the water.

Does it work without WiFi or cell service at the lake?

Yes. The dock talks to a small base station at your house over LoRa long-range radio — no WiFi or cell plan needed at the dock. Standing on the dock itself, the app also connects directly over Bluetooth.

What can it switch and monitor?

Dock lights, fishing lights, a dock fridge, and other 12-volt appliances — each on its own switched circuit with schedules and remote control, plus live battery state of charge, voltage, and per-cell health.

Can you convert my boat lift from AC to solar?

Yes — it's one of our most requested jobs. We replace the shore-power feed with a solar panel, battery, and a 12-volt lift motor setup mounted right on the lift, so it raises and lowers with no electrical run from the house. The same system can also power your dock lights and other appliances.

How far can my dock be from the house?

LoRa radio is built for miles of range over open water. Every install is range-tested and tuned for your specific dock and shoreline.

What happens when the battery runs low?

You get an alert, and the built-in battery saver automatically sheds non-essential loads while keeping critical ones like the fridge running. Everything restores on its own once solar charges the battery back up.

What does a system cost?

Every dock is different — panel size, battery, and the number of switched circuits are sized to your dock. Call or text (205) 721-3830 for a quote; systems are built, installed, and supported locally on Smith Lake.
